This level is designed for mid-level job positions. Not all jobs at the mid-level meet this standard; for instance, GS-7 employees are employed in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and which is the National Security Agency (NSA) as well as The Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Other government positions that require white collar employees fall under GS-8.
