Opm Executive Pay Scale 2023 – The 2023 Federal Pay Scales and 2023 Local Pay Scales with GS Pay Scales have been finalized as President Biden issues his annual Executive Order (EO) providing pay increases for federal employees for the coming year.
Under Biden’s alternative wage plan released in August, federal wage growth for 2023 would average 4.6%. Congress did not take any additional legislative action to reverse the president’s proposed wage increase, so the number ultimately went into effect.

Average $90,510 Federal Employee Salary And Other Traits Of 2.1 Million+ Federal Employees
With above-average inflation rates and a record cost of living adjustment (COLA) for 2023, most experts are predicting a record wage increase for employees on the GS pay scale.
This was approved by President Biden’s executive order (EO) and funding in the Public Appropriations Act, which followed the original letter on the alternative payment plan and the GS pay scale in 2023. approved to increase the average salary of federal employees by 4.6 percent.
Note that federal wage increases for 2023 include an average local wage increase of 0.5%, which varies by region (see details in the sections below). However, the 4.1% base pay increase applies to all civilian federal employees on the GS pay scale.

Thousands Of Feds One Step Closer To A Bigger Raise In 2024
[Update December 23, 2022] President Biden approved by Executive Order (EO) an average CEO pay scale increase of 4.6 percent (4.1 percent base and 0.5 percent local pay).
This is consistent with his previous (alternative) plan to adjust pay for civilian federal employees due to “national emergencies or serious economic conditions affecting the general welfare.”
Specifically, I find that the overall base salary increase for 2023 is 4.1%, and the local salary increase is an average of 0.5%, resulting in an overall average of 4.6 for civilian federal employees. % increases. This alternative salary plan decision will allow the federal government to better compete in the labor market to attract and retain a well-qualified federal workforce, which has led to a significant pay gap for federal employees … to the private sector relatively. I will update this article as news and estimates regarding GS salary increases for 2024 become available. At this rate, with lower inflation, I expect 2024 growth to be around 2%.
