The GS salary increase has ended following President Biden’s order and the passage of the 2023 bill. The official tables, including the 55 local pay tables linked below, are published by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM). The average local salary increase was 0.5%, but will vary by location.

Here are the final trends for the various key groups in salary increases in 2017:
President (executive) – proposed a 1.6% salary increase in 2017. It will be made official at the end of August based on the debate in the Senate and the House of Representatives.
House of Representatives – Passed the Public Service Funding and Appropriations Act of 2017 (H.R. 5485). This bill does not prohibit salary increases (as was done in the past), which means that unless special legislation is written, the president’s recommendation for a 1.6% increase in public sector salaries could go into effect in January.
