Opm Within Grade Step Increase – This OPM pay scale is a system that divides wages into four categories dependent on the team member’s job within the government. The table below shows how the basic schedule OPM uses to calculate its national team member pay scale, based on next year’s an anticipated 2.6 percent across-the-board increase. There exist three major categories at the gs level of government. Some agencies do not follow all three categories. For example for instance, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Department of Defense (DOD) doesn’t use the same category system.
